Star Wars Celebration 2015 — Short Stormtrooper
The Star Wars Celebration is a fan gathering to celebrate the Star Wars franchise. It began in 1999, when Lucasfilm held the Star Wars Celebration in Denver, Colorado to celebrate the upcoming release of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. Subsequent events have taken place to welcome forthcoming movies, as well as honoring the 30th and 40th anniversaries of the release of the original film.

Celebration I[edit]

The Star Wars Celebration was held from April 30 – May 2, 1999, at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver, Colorado, just three weeks before the release of The Phantom Menace. An event «for the fans, by the fans,» the event took place in the hometown of the Official Star Wars Fan Club, headed by Dan Madsen. «The Fan Club is based here in Denver,» says Madsen, «so we thought it would only be appropriate that the Celebration be held here.»[5]
The first Star Wars convention since 1987, the Celebration held activities including actor panels, THX theater demonstrations, behind the scenes footage from Episode I, and the world premiere of the «Duel of the Fates» music video. The grounds boasted a vendors tent, and the museum hosted an exhibition consisting of props from the official LucasFilm archives, including a full-scale model of Anakin Skywalker’s podracer and a life-size X-wing model (a 3/4 scale replica made in 1996 for the Special Edition release, and still residing at Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum).[6]
Celebration II[edit]
From May 3–5, 2002, Celebration II was held to celebrate the upcoming release of Attack of the Clones. The convention was moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, to make use of the larger Indiana Convention Center.[7]
Downtown Indianapolis was invaded by multitudes of Star Wars fans.[8] The initial projection of 15–20,000 people per day based on advance ticket sales was well surpassed and reached critical mass on Saturday. The estimated final tally was a little over 75,000 people[citation needed] for the three-day event. The two busiest spots were the Fan Club store and the autograph section, specifically for Carrie Fisher. Highlights of the event included the Rick McCallum Spectacular and the Star Wars 25th Anniversary Concert on Saturday night, performed by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.[9]
Celebration III[edit]
The Star Wars Celebration returned to Indianapolis from April 21–24, 2005, to commemorate the release of what was then thought to be the final film in the saga, Revenge of the Sith.[10] With over 34,000 fans in attendance over the course of four days, Celebration III brought actor panels, costume contests, fan films, and diorama building to the Indiana Convention Center.[11] The Lucasfilm archive provided many important props and costumes for display. One of this Celebration’s most noteworthy events was the unprecedented Q&A session with Star Wars creator George Lucas, his first such appearance since the Star Wars 10th Anniversary Convention in 1987. With approximately 10,000 fans in attendance (over the course of 3 half-hour sessions), Lucas personally answered several dozen fans’ questions about the saga.
Celebration IV[edit]

On May 26, 2006, StarWars.com announced Star Wars Celebration IV (C4) to be held May 24–28, 2007, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first Star Wars film.[12][13] C4 was located at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles.[14] Taking place on May 24 through May 28, the convention offered a record number of celebrities in the autograph hall, multiple exhibitors, a Star Wars art show, a Darth Vader helmet and Lucasfilm archive exhibits and many fan oriented activities. In addition, there were collector and costuming panels, including sneak peeks of the upcoming Clone Wars animated series. Fans were the first to see the footage of this series on Sunday morning as well.[15] Other highlights included conversations with Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee Williams, a visit from Seth MacFarlane and Seth Green for special Star Wars episodes of Family Guy and Robot Chicken respectively, and an efficiently organized Celebration Store. An estimated 35,000 people walked through the doors for Celebration IV over the Memorial Day weekend.[16][17]
After the event, Lucasfilm sued the hosting entity, GenCon, for a variety of reasons, forcing GenCon into Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Celebration Europe[edit]
On September 25, 2006, StarWars.com announced Star Wars Celebration Europe (CE) to be held July 13–15, 2007, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first Star Wars film.[10] CE was to be located at Earls Court in London.[19] But on November 22, 2006, StarWars.com announced due to Advance interest in Celebration Europe the event would be moved to the larger venue located at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre[20] in London.[21] The event also had on display some of the largest restored Star Wars Arcade collection, estimated at around 30 to 40 machines,[22] many of them now rarely seen in the USA or in other parts of Europe. An estimated 30,000 people attended this convention.[17]
Celebration Japan[edit]
On February 23, 2008, Lucasfilm Ltd. and the Lewis Daniel Group announced a three-day event known as «Celebration Japan», was held at the Makuhari-Messe Convention Center near Tokyo on July 19 to 21. The convention celebrated the 30th anniversary of the June 24, 1978, Japanese premiere of Star Wars. Celebration Japan included live entertainment, Star Wars celebrities, exclusive merchandise, special presentations, unique Star Wars exhibits, costume contests, and other activities.[17]
Celebration V[edit]
Lucasfilm announced in 2008 that a US-based four-day Star Wars convention called «Celebration V» would be held in the summer of 2010. In July 2008, Steve Sansweet, director of content management and head of fan relations for Lucasfilm, announced that Baltimore, Minneapolis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Anaheim, and Orlando, Florida were competing to host this event. Organizers anticipated that 30,000 Star Wars fans would attend no matter which city was selected.[23]
Reed Exhibitions and Lucasfilm announced on December 3, 2009, that Orlando would host the event.[24] Celebration V took place at the Orange County Convention Center from August 12–15, 2010. The convention celebrated the 30th anniversary of the second Star Wars movie, The Empire Strikes Back. It also included many features of previous Celebrations (such as Star Wars celebrity appearances, costume contests, and other fan events) as well as a special one-hour interview between Jon Stewart and George Lucas called «The Main Event».[25] Celebration V marked the first American Celebration appearance for Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and the last American appearance for Caroline Blakiston (Mon Mothma). Attendance was estimated at 32,000.[26]
Lucas also made an appearance at the nearby Disney’s Hollywood Studios to take part in the «Last Tour to Endor Event», which provided special entertainment for those individuals who attended «Celebration V».
Celebration VI[edit]
StarWarsCelebration.com announced on June 2, 2011, that Celebration VI would be held in Orlando, FL at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) from August 16–19, 2012. The date was later changed to August 23–26, 2012.[27] The convention was held in the same hall of the OCCC as was Celebration V, with a very similar format. Several celebrities returned for appearances at this Celebration (including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Anthony Daniels), and this event marked the first American Celebration attended by Ian McDiarmid. George Lucas had not been scheduled to attend, but made a «surprise» appearance.[28] The event hosted the announcement of Star Wars Detours. Attendance was estimated at 35,000 people.[29]
Celebration Europe II[edit]
It was announced at the Closing Ceremonies of Celebration VI (and confirmed on StarWarsCelebration.com) that Celebration Europe II would be held in Essen, Germany, at the Messe Essen fair venue from July 26–28, 2013.[30] Major panels were Kathleen Kennedy inaugural Star Wars Celebration appearance and the first look at Star Wars Rebels. Over 30,000 people attended the event from 40 different countries.[31] The convention celebrated the 30th anniversary of the third Star Wars movie, Return of The Jedi.
Celebration Anaheim[edit]
It was announced at the closing ceremonies of Celebration Europe II that Celebration Anaheim would be held in Anaheim, California, at the Anaheim Convention Center, from April 16–19, 2015, with an anticipated turnout of about 50,000 fans.[32]
This event was one of the most anticipated due to the December 2015 release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens with most news and info on the film being kept secretive prior to the event. The entire celebration was broadcast live online free via www.starwars.com and the Star Wars‘ YouTube channel. The long-awaited second teaser trailer for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiered on April 16, 2015, during the opening panel of the event which also included many of the stars of the upcoming film, new and old, director J. J. Abrams along with producer and president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy.[33] The following day, fans were treated to the trailer for the upcoming videogame, Star Wars: Battlefront while on the third day the trailer for the second season of Star Wars Rebels made its debut. The Celebration closed out its fourth and final day with fans being shown an exclusive teaser trailer for Rogue One, which was released in December 2016. This is the first of two anthology films, which are also known as the stand-alone or origin story films.
Celebration Europe III[edit]
It was announced on April 19, 2015, during the closing ceremonies at Celebration Anaheim, that Celebration Europe III would take place July 15–17, 2016, at the ExCel center in London, England. «Jedi Master VIP Tickets» sold out immediately.[34] This was the last Star Wars Celebration that the original trilogy stars Kenny Baker and Carrie Fisher would attend, due to their passing in mid to late 2016.
Celebration Orlando[edit]
It was announced on July 17, 2016, during the closing ceremonies at Celebration Europe III, that Celebration Orlando would take place April 13–16, 2017, in Orlando, Florida. The convention celebrated the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope and the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This was the first Star Wars Celebration that Harrison Ford attended. He made an appearance during the opening panel celebrating the 40 years of Star Wars held on April 13 which also included other stars and people important to the franchise including Kathleen Kennedy (president of Lucasfilm) and a surprise appearance by George Lucas and John Williams with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, who performed parts of the soundtrack.[35] A special tribute to Carrie Fisher was held by Mark Hamill on Friday, April 14.[36] A teaser trailer of Star Wars: The Last Jedi premiered on Friday, April 14.[37] On Saturday, April 15 it was announced that season 4 of Star Wars Rebels will be the last season of the series.[38] The celebration was once again streamed live and free via StarWars.com and the Star Wars YouTube channel.
Celebration Chicago[edit]
The thirteenth Star Wars Celebration was held from April 11–15, 2019 inside Chicago’s McCormick Place. A teaser trailer and title reveal for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker occurred on April 12;[39] a franchise mural including art from the upcoming film was also unveiled.[40] A trailer for the upcoming game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was also showcased as well as teaser reels for The Clone Wars Season 7 and the new Disney+ exclusive show, The Mandalorian. It was announced in June 2019 that Celebration Chicago drew an estimated 65,000 fans.[41]
Also during Star Wars Celebration Chicago, Lucasfilm sound editor Matthew Wood teased that there would be a new Lego Star Wars Game.
Celebration Anaheim II[edit]
It was announced on April 15, 2019, the last day of Celebration Chicago, that in 2020, the next Star Wars Celebration will be held for the second time in Anaheim, California.[42] On June 15, 2020, it was announced that the 2020 Celebration had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the next event scheduled for August 18–21, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The dates were later updated to May 26–29, 2022.[43][44][45]
Celebration Europe IV[edit]
It was announced on May 29, 2022, during Celebration Anaheim II, that the next Celebration would be held at the ExCel Centre in London, England over April 7–10, 2023.

Attendance was estimated at 32,000.[26]
Lucas also made an appearance at the nearby Disney’s Hollywood Studios to take part in the «Last Tour to Endor Event», which provided special entertainment for those individuals who attended «Celebration V».
Celebration VI[edit]
StarWarsCelebration.com announced on June 2, 2011, that Celebration VI would be held in Orlando, FL at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) from August 16–19, 2012. The date was later changed to August 23–26, 2012.[27] The convention was held in the same hall of the OCCC as was Celebration V, with a very similar format. Several celebrities returned for appearances at this Celebration (including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Anthony Daniels), and this event marked the first American Celebration attended by Ian McDiarmid. George Lucas had not been scheduled to attend, but made a «surprise» appearance.[28] The event hosted the announcement of Star Wars Detours. Attendance was estimated at 35,000 people.[29]
Celebration Europe II[edit]
It was announced at the Closing Ceremonies of Celebration VI (and confirmed on StarWarsCelebration.com) that Celebration Europe II would be held in Essen, Germany, at the Messe Essen fair venue from July 26–28, 2013.[30] Major panels were Kathleen Kennedy inaugural Star Wars Celebration appearance and the first look at Star Wars Rebels. Over 30,000 people attended the event from 40 different countries.[31] The convention celebrated the 30th anniversary of the third Star Wars movie, Return of The Jedi.
Celebration Anaheim[edit]
It was announced at the closing ceremonies of Celebration Europe II that Celebration Anaheim would be held in Anaheim, California, at the Anaheim Convention Center, from April 16–19, 2015, with an anticipated turnout of about 50,000 fans.[32]
This event was one of the most anticipated due to the December 2015 release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens with most news and info on the film being kept secretive prior to the event. The entire celebration was broadcast live online free via www.starwars.com and the Star Wars‘ YouTube channel. The long-awaited second teaser trailer for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiered on April 16, 2015, during the opening panel of the event which also included many of the stars of the upcoming film, new and old, director J. J. Abrams along with producer and president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy.[33] The following day, fans were treated to the trailer for the upcoming videogame, Star Wars: Battlefront while on the third day the trailer for the second season of Star Wars Rebels made its debut. The Celebration closed out its fourth and final day with fans being shown an exclusive teaser trailer for Rogue One, which was released in December 2016. This is the first of two anthology films, which are also known as the stand-alone or origin story films.
Celebration Europe III[edit]
It was announced on April 19, 2015, during the closing ceremonies at Celebration Anaheim, that Celebration Europe III would take place July 15–17, 2016, at the ExCel center in London, England. «Jedi Master VIP Tickets» sold out immediately.[34] This was the last Star Wars Celebration that the original trilogy stars Kenny Baker and Carrie Fisher would attend, due to their passing in mid to late 2016.
Celebration Orlando[edit]
It was announced on July 17, 2016, during the closing ceremonies at Celebration Europe III, that Celebration Orlando would take place April 13–16, 2017, in Orlando, Florida. The convention celebrated the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope and the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This was the first Star Wars Celebration that Harrison Ford attended. He made an appearance during the opening panel celebrating the 40 years of Star Wars held on April 13 which also included other stars and people important to the franchise including Kathleen Kennedy (president of Lucasfilm) and a surprise appearance by George Lucas and John Williams with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, who performed parts of the soundtrack.[35] A special tribute to Carrie Fisher was held by Mark Hamill on Friday, April 14.[36] A teaser trailer of Star Wars: The Last Jedi premiered on Friday, April 14.[37] On Saturday, April 15 it was announced that season 4 of Star Wars Rebels will be the last season of the series.[38] The celebration was once again streamed live and free via StarWars.com and the Star Wars YouTube channel.
Celebration Chicago[edit]
The thirteenth Star Wars Celebration was held from April 11–15, 2019 inside Chicago’s McCormick Place. A teaser trailer and title reveal for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker occurred on April 12;[39] a franchise mural including art from the upcoming film was also unveiled.[40] A trailer for the upcoming game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was also showcased as well as teaser reels for The Clone Wars Season 7 and the new Disney+ exclusive show, The Mandalorian. It was announced in June 2019 that Celebration Chicago drew an estimated 65,000 fans.[41]
Also during Star Wars Celebration Chicago, Lucasfilm sound editor Matthew Wood teased that there would be a new Lego Star Wars Game.
Celebration Anaheim II[edit]
It was announced on April 15, 2019, the last day of Celebration Chicago, that in 2020, the next Star Wars Celebration will be held for the second time in Anaheim, California.[42] On June 15, 2020, it was announced that the 2020 Celebration had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the next event scheduled for August 18–21, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The dates were later updated to May 26–29, 2022.[43][44][45]
Celebration Europe IV[edit]
It was announced on May 29, 2022, during Celebration Anaheim II, that the next Celebration would be held at the ExCel Centre in London, England over April 7–10, 2023.

Когда отмечается День «Звездных войн» в 2023 году
Праздник не имеет официального статуса и ни в каких документах не утвержден. Отмечается исключительно поклонниками космической эпопеи. В России, как и во всем мире, День «Звездных войн» 2023 назначен на 4 мая. Дата не меняется ежегодно, хотя некоторые фанаты отмечают праздник в другой день. Об этом подробнее расскажем ниже.
Почему День «Звездных войн» отмечают 4-го мая
Те, кто внимательно смотрел все картины саги, знает, что никаких земных дат в «Звездных войнах» нет. Можно предположить, что 4 мая связано с датой премьеры или начала съемок одной из частей. Однако и этот вариант ложный. Так почему же День «Звездных войн» в России и во всем мире принято отмечать в начале третьего месяца весны?
Все из-за каламбура, тиражируемого поклонниками. Та самая фраза «Да пребудет с тобой сила!» на английском звучит:
May the force be with you!
May в английском языке можно перевести как выражение намерения («можно я…») или как архаичную частицу «да»: may God bless you! — «Да благословит тебя Господь!». А еще это месяц «май».
Force в английском — «сила». Сила, в значении мощи, и в значении вооруженного формирования. При этом есть созвучное числительное fourth — «четвертый». Поклонники переиначили фразу:
May the fourth be with you! — «Да пребудет с тобой четвертое мая».
Примечательно, что мем закрепился уже после выхода первой (4-6 эпизоды) и второй трилогий (1-3 эпизоды). 4 мая 2011 года в канадском Торонто прошел первый фестиваль «Звездных войн» привязанный именно к появившейся дате. А через два года компания Disney — ей сейчас принадлежат права на космическую франшизу — официально признала 4 мая.
Хотя у американских поклонников есть еще один День «Звездных войн» — 25 мая. Дата привязана к выходу самого первого эпизода киновселенной «Новая надежда» в 1977 году. Но более каноничным среди фанатов все же стало 4 мая.
Традиции праздника
В Европе и на Американском континенте День «Звездных войн» — это всегда большой фестиваль, тематические дни в парках, конференции авторов и фанатов серии. А еще устраивают кинопоказы. В России же все проходит более скромно.
Главный организатор тематических фестивалей у нас в стране — движение STARFANS. Свои события они проводят в Москве на разных площадках.
День «Звездных войн» в России поддерживают разные заведения общепита (предлагают особое меню и проводят вечеринки), телеканалы (демонстрируя старые и новые части), а также пользователи соцсетей.

Какие развлечения близки поклонникам «Звездных войн»
- Косплей. Это изготовление костюмов и атрибутики персонажей кинофраншизы. Джедайские мечи, костюмы штурмовиков, шлем Дарта Вейдера. Самые смелые наряжаются в магистра Йоду и лохматых гигантов вуки.
- Саберфайтинг. Это бои на световых мечах. Понятно, что лазер в них не настоящий, хотя технологии до такого уже дошли. Саберфайтинг бывает как «боевой», в смысле цель нанести укол противнику как в фехтовании, так и постановочный. Второй даже более распространен. Поклонники разыгрывают эффектные бои с акробатикой и взмахами светящихся бутафорских мечей.
- Квесты. Разумеется на основе мифической вселенной. Задания на логику и сообразительность в замкнутой локации или по всему городу. Проводят фанатские организации.
- Настольные игры. Самые известные и каноничные X-Wing Miniatures Game, Star Wars Armada и Imperial Assault. По ним проводят турниры в России.

Ежегодно в начале мая из соцсетей раздаются призывы: «May the Fourth be with you», что переводится, как «Да пребудет с тобой Четвертое». Что это значит и при чем здесь День независимости США и Маргарет Тэтчер?
Начнем с того, что «Да пребудет с тобой сила» — это пожелание удачи, напутствие, которое джедаи и неджедаи из «Звездных войн» дают друг другу перед выполнением какого-либо задания. Вроде «с богом» или «в добрый путь». Говорящий это напутствие подразумевает, что Сила (энергетическое поле, которым джедаи и ситхи умеют пользоваться каждый в своих целях) не покинет адресата и поможет ему в трудную минуту. Фраза впервые появилась в фильме «Звездные войны. Эпизод IV: Новая надежда» Джорджа Лукаса в 1977 году.
Самое раннее использование ее модификации «Да пребудет с тобой Четвертое» зафиксировано в 1978 году — через год после премьеры «Новой надежды», имевшей сокрушительный успех. К тому времени картина стала настолько популярной, что неискаженная фраза превратилась в приветствие. Слоган «Да пребудет с тобой сила» печатался на всех рекламных продуктах франшизы — плакатах, наклейках, упаковках с игрушками и сладостями. Так что газетчики, падкие на словесное творчество, в конце концов нашли этой фразе применение куда более патриотическое. В преддверии национального праздника, Дня независимости, который отмечается 4 июля, в газетах стали появляться ее интерпретации: «May the Fourth be with you», то есть «Да пребудет с тобой Четвертое».
В Великобританию модификация слогана пришла в 1979 году, 4 мая. В тот день в должность премьер-министра вступила Маргарет Тэтчер, и в честь этого события журналист The London Evening News выпустил статью с заголовком «May the Fourth be with you, Maggie. Congratulations!» («Да пребудет с тобой Четвертое, Мэгги. Поздравляем!»). По совпадению второй фильм франшизы «Империя наносит ответный удар» в 1979 году снимался на студии Elstree Studios, офис которой находился неподалеку, в британском Хартфордшире, и съемочная команда наверняка видела этот выпуск The London Evening News.

В дальнейшем фраза почти не встречалась, но в 2005 году ее снова использовали в контексте праздника 4 июля. За несколько недель до национального праздника, 19 мая, вышел первый фильм второй трилогии — «Месть ситхов», и пиарщики заказали прессе рекламу с мастером Йодой и слоганом «Да пребудет с тобой Четвертое» на фоне красно-бело-синих фейерверков. Позже этот постер продавали на официальном сайте «Звездных войн».
Каламбур был широко известен среди фанатов саги, которые и учредили свой неофициальный праздник. 4 мая стал днем проведения тематических косплеев и вечеринок, шествий и прочих собраний единомышленников. Кто-то основательно готовился изображать джедая, а кто-то собирал друзей пересматривать фильмы саги в домашнем кругу.
И хотя 4 мая считается исключительно фанатским праздником, в 2011 году Джордж Лукас и его Lucasfilm стали использовать эту дату в официальных мероприятиях и промокампаниях на телевидении, в прессе, в книжных магазинах, точках видеопроката и интернете. С 2013 года силами Disney праздник в честь саги отмечают еще и тематическими ивентами в «Диснейленде», продавая мерч из вселенной «Звездных войн» со скидками. Также в этот день корпорация выпускает важные новости и анонсы, касающиеся спин-оффов и других релизов, связанных с киновселенной.
Однако если вы не успели за один день поздравить всех единомышленников или посмотреть все фильмы франшизы, не расстраивайтесь: праздник продолжается 5 и 6 мая. Первый назван «Местью Пятого» («Revenge of the Fifth») — каламбур, происходящий от названия третьего эпизода саги «Revenge of the Sith» («Месть ситхов»). В этот день фанаты переходят на темную сторону Силы и вместо джедаев прославляют ситхов и других антигероев вселенной «Звездных войн». А 6 мая называют «Местью Шестого» («Revenge of the Sixth»).
Последний шанс отметить праздник «Звездных войн» выпадает на 25 мая — хотя эту дату можно только с натяжкой назвать сколько-нибудь популярной среди фанатов. Дело в том, что в 2007 году в честь 30-летия выхода первого эпизода саги городской совет Лос-Анджелеса объявил 25 мая Днем «Звездных войн». В этот же день празднуется Geek Pride Day — фестиваль гик-культуры, в котором вспоминают как творение Лукаса, так и другие научно-фантастические произведения, например «Автостопом по галактике» и «Плоский мир».

Главное богатство «Звездных войн» — не в эпических баталиях и дуэлях адептов светлой и темной стороны, не в политических интригах и даже не в историях героев. Настоящее сокровище — мириады миров, созданных за десятилетия существования главной космооперы современности.
Сегодня, в День «Звездных войн», мы вместе с персонажами фантастической саги отправимся в путешествие с осмотром главных достопримечательностей далекой-далекой галактики, и для этого даже не обязательно выводить из ангара «Тысячелетний сокол».
Татуин: отпуск под двумя солнцами
Татуин — популярный туристический маршрут для любителей экстремального отдыха. Под местными солнцами можно сгореть за считаные минуты, и ни один защитный крем не спасет.
Эта планета не слишком богата на достопримечательности, но позволяет полюбоваться на огромные барханы, встретиться с подозрительными тускенами или джавами, бороздящими просторы пустыни на огромных краулерах. Кстати, именно они в начале четвертого эпизода захватили дроидов R2-D2 и C3PO, прибывших на планету с важной миссией. В качестве сувенира можно прихватить с Татуина фигурки отважных роботов.
Если надоест бродить по бескрайним пескам, всегда можно посетить местный космопорт Мос-Эйсли, где жизнь кипит и бурлит круглосуточно. Татуин находится на пересечении важных торговых путей, поэтому его облюбовали контрабандисты и проходимцы всех сортов. И чаще всего они заглядывают в кантину Чалмуна — именно там Люк Скайуокер впервые встретил верного напарника, пилота и авантюриста Хана Соло. В кантине туристам с удовольствием нальют прохладительные напитки в фирменные кружки, а остатки ужина упакуют в фирменный же ланч-бокс. Здесь же можно перекинуться в картишки и показать окружающим мастерство. Главное — всегда носить с собой бластер и не спорить с джедаями.
Явин: полеты над газовым гигантом
Планета Явин навсегда останется символом свободы для повстанцев, которые ведут неравную борьбу с силами императора и могущественными ситхами.
На небольшом спутнике Явин IV, который засветился в четвертом эпизоде «Звездных войн», настоящий рай для любителей всякой живности. В этом тропическом мире водятся ящеры-крабы, жуки-пираньи и другие удивительные создания, которых вряд ли получится упечь в зоопарк. Внимание: претензии от съеденных путешественников не принимаются.
Сам газовый гигант Явин-Прайм не представляет практически никакого интереса. Однако над его поверхностью устраивают ожесточенные догфайты лучшие пилоты галактики. А посостязаться с ними можно в симуляторе Star Wars: Squadrons, и не каждый турист сможет одержать победу в виртуальной схватке.
Камино: гранд-океанариум
Камино похожа на один большой курорт для бесстрашных серферов и яхтсменов. Вся поверхность планеты сплошь покрыта океаном, над поверхностью которого возвышаются небольшие города каминоанцев — таинственной расы, которая пережила глобальный потоп, адаптировалась к новым условиям и сумела сыграть важную роль в истории «Звездных войн».
Обитатели морского мира мастерски освоили искусство клонирования, чтобы не вымереть в суровых условиях, а затем принялись «копировать» другие виды. «Звезда Смерти»: мечта мегаломанов
Палпатин, как и положено могущественному ситху, не довольствуется полумерами. Если строить космическую базу — то с самым мощным оружием на свете и размером с целую планету. «Звезда Смерти» была гордостью Императора и могла уничтожать целые миры. Однако повстанцы не восхитились чудом межзвездной архитектуры и подорвали первую станцию в четвертом эпизоде саги, а затем расправились и со второй инкарнацией — триллионы галактических кредитов, потраченных на постройку, вылетели в трубу.
Обломки второй «Звезды Смерти» рухнули на маленький спутник Эндора под названием Кеф-Бир и стали главными достопримечательности луны. Именно здесь состоялась и самая запоминающаяся встреча героев новой трилогии — Кайло Рена и Рей. Мы с вами полюбуемся на обломки (любоваться на рабочую «Звезду Смерти» вам вряд ли понравится), а заодно запасемся фигурками Кайло и Рей.
Набу: королевский курорт
Идиллические пейзажи и римско-византийская архитектура Набу сделали эту планету одной из самых привлекательных для межгалактических путешественников. Величественные и опрятные улицы Тида — административного центра местного королевства — куда красочнее многоярусных городов-муравейников с нагромождением зданий.
Однако именно Набу выпала «честь» стать ключом к возвышению Империи — сам император Палпатин родился в этом мире и долгое время был сенатором, а королева Падме Амидала ввязалась в войну с Торговой Федерацией, которая в конце концов привела к краху Республики.
Здесь развернулась самая масштабная битва первого эпизода «Звездных войн», в которой гунганы вместе с войсками королевы пытались одолеть дронов. И в это же время юный Оби-Ван Кеноби плечом к плечу с Квай-Гон Джинном сражался с одним из самых запоминающихся злодеев фантастической саги — Дартом Молом, который доказал на практике, что обычный световой меч можно превратить в сдвоенный клинок, что было весьма кстати в поединке с двумя джедаями. Его оружие обрело культовый статус среди любителей темной стороны Силы.
Храм джедаев: гордость Корусанта
Обитатели мегаполисов то и дело жалуются на нехватку парков и скверов, но жители Корусанта могут лишь горько посмеяться над чужими проблемами. Эта планета была превращена в одну гигантскую городскую агломерацию — места под обширные леса и поля просто-напросто не осталось.
Но даже в царстве стекла и металла скрываются настоящие жемчужины, с которыми не грех сфотографироваться. Храм Джедаев постоянно появляется в трилогии приквелов — именно там принимались важнейшие военные решения, которые должны были привести к триумфу Республики. Однако грандиозная победа обернулась величайшим поражением, после которого остатки ордена были раскиданы по галактике.
Но надежда не потеряна — в сериале «Книга Бобы Фетта» мы узнаем, что Люк Скайуокер основал новый храм на отдаленной планете. Кроме того, он пригласил с собой малыша Йоду, который прославился благодаря «Мандалорцу».
Мустафар: экскурсия по лавовым озерам
Мустафар знавал и лучшие времена — за сотни лет до начала приключений семьи Скайуокеров эта планета зеленела и благоухала. Но сегодня от буйной флоры не осталось и следа — вместо жизни здесь кипят потоки лавы, в которых несложно свариться. Внимание: претензии от сварившихся путешественников не принимаются.
Похожий на Мустафар мир упоминался еще в ранних набросках Джорджа Лукаса, который прорабатывал вселенную «Звездных войн» в 1970-х годах. Но реализовать задумку удалось только в трилогии триквелов — в «Мести ситхов» именно здесь произошла знаковая дуэль Оби-Вана и Энакина, после которой оступившегося джедая превратили в Дарта Вейдера. Так что если вам нужен настоящий мустафарский сувенир, лучше фигурки Вейдера не найти.
«У меня всегда стоял перед глазами этот пейзаж: поле битвы для Оби-Вана с Энакином. Я твердо знал, что фильм закончится именно там. Кругом вулканический ландшафт, извергаются фонтаны лавы, и поэтому палитра почти монохромная — красный и черный. Этому образу уже много лет», — вспоминал сам Лукас.
Рекомендуем запастись водой во время экскурсии на Мустафар: туристов часто мучает жажда, а из бутылки удобно тушить загоревшиеся ботинки.
Мандалор: обитель воителей
Воинственный народ мандалорцев на протяжении долгих столетий не терял хватку и всегда сражался за свою свободу. За века существования они обрели репутацию лучших охотников за головами и даже успели повоевать с джедаями, хотя и не владели Силой — доблесть и отвага помогали им в самые трудные моменты.
Культура настоящих воителей зародилась на Мандалоре — не самой привлекательной планете, где первые мандалорцы строили города из костей гигантских мифозавров. Бойцы привлекали в свои ряды представителей других рас, но в конце концов нарвались на Великую чистку, устроенную Империей, о чем рассказывается в сериале «Мандалорец».
Главный герой телешоу, Дин Джарин, родился не на Мандалоре и присоединился к племени на планете Неварро. Но это не помешало ему с достоинством носить фирменную броню и перенять истинный боевой дух соратников — фигурка будет всегда напоминать об этом фанатам Джарина.

4 мая поклонники всемирно известной киносаги «Звёздные войны» отмечают неформальный, но от этого не менее интересный, праздник – День Звёздных войн (Star Wars Day) или День Люка Скайуокера, как его иногда именуют поклонники этой киноэпопеи, созданной американским режиссёром Джоржем Лукасом.

Знаменитая фраза напутствия джедаев «Да пребудет с тобой Сила» пишется по-английски: «May the force be with you». Кто-то из поклонников фильма, явно не обделённый чувством юмора, обыграл однажды эту фразу как «Да пребудет с тобой четвёртое мая», делая упор на то, что английское слово «May» можно перевести как название месяца, а слово «force» (сила) заменив словом «fourth» (четвёртый).

День «Звёздных войн» стал настолько популярным, что следующий день, 5 мая, в шутку стали называть «Месть Пятого» (англ. Revenge of the Fifth) — в честь III эпизода саги, носящего название «Месть ситхов» (англ. Revenge of the Sith). Последнее слово из названия сходно с англ. fifth — «пятый», на чём и построен каламбур. В этот день фанаты саги переходят на тёмную сторону Силы и чествуют Владык ситхов и других анти-героев из вселенной «Звёздных войн». Также существует интерпретация, по которой День реванша празднуется 6 мая и называется «Днём реванша Шестого» (англ. Revenge of the Sixth), так как английское слово Sith похоже как на fifth («пятый»), так и на sixth («шестой»).

Основной датой Дня Звёздных войн (иначе — Дня Люка Скайуокера) считается 4 мая[2]. Дата выбрана из-за часто звучащей в фильме и ставшей знаменитой цитаты «May the force be with you» (рус. Да пребудет с тобой сила), которую многие поклонники обыгрывают как «May the fourth be with you» (англ. fourth — четвёртый и англ. May — май). Поклонники «Звёздных войн» оказались не первыми, кто использовал подобный каламбур. 4 мая 1979 года, когда Маргарет Тэтчер была избрана первой женщиной-премьер-министром Великобритании, её партия размеcтила объявление в лондонских вечерних новостях со словами «May the Fourth Be with You, Maggie. Congratulations». (рус. Четвёртое мая пребудет с тобой, Мэгги. Поздравляем.)[3]
В 2005 году в интервью телеканалу N24 Джорджа Лукаса попросили произнести знаменитую цитату. Слова Лукаса «May the force be with you» синхронный переводчик на немецкий язык перевёл как «Am 4. Mai sind wir bei Ihnen» (рус. Мы будем с вами 4 мая). Интервью было показано в эфире телеканала TV Total 18 мая 2005 года вместе с переведённой фразой[4].
День праздника отмечают не только поклонники. К примеру, в парках аттракционов устраиваются тематические «дни Звёздных войн», а компания Disney в честь 4 мая выпустила серию коллекционных постеров[5]. Официальный веб-сайт саги 4 мая 2011 года объявил о выходе Blu-ray издания всех шести фильмов и дал старт импровизированному обратному отсчёту[6].
